Steve Nerem is a professor at the University of Colorado and a member of the SWOT Science Team. He is using SWOT to study tides and sea level change in coastal and estuarine environments. He is a longtime member of the OSTST and uses satellite altimetry to measure sea level change.
Justin Stopa is an associate professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa specializing in satellite remote sensing, wave modeling, and SAR applications in oceanography. He is interested in building collaborations with ML experts and oceanographic experts to address larger problems in ocean wave prediction and analysis.
